Dairy Fairy Arden Bra

Arden Nursing and Handsfree Pumping Bra in One

World Breastfeeding Week is almost over, so I have another nursing product I’m eager to introduce you all to before it ends. It is the Arden Bra from the Dairy Fairy. It is both a nursing bra and a pumping bra in one. I had never heard of a bra that was both before, but here it is.

Since I primarily nurse during the day, but do need to pump on occasion, the Arden Nursing and Handsfree Pumping Bra seemed ideal for me. The Dairy Fairy sent me one to try out, and the first thing I noticed was how “pretty” it was. Other nursing bras I’ve owned have been bulky and beige and not all that attractive.

The Arden bra doesn’t look like a “nursing bra.” It also doesn’t unhook at the strap like a normal nursing bra. Instead, the pumping panel just pulls aside for easy and complete access when needed.

When it is time to use the pumping part, the bra unhooks in the middle. In the pic below, the outer flap is open and you can see how the flange is inserted for pumping.

Here is a diagram showing the three functions of the Arden nursing and handsfree pumping bra. I don’t know of any other bra that allows you to nurse and pump at the same time.

This would have been super useful the first week after my daughter was born, because I had to pump one side because it was too painful to nurse. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s ever had that problem. What a time saver this would have been!

So, I’ve talked about the cuteness and functionality. One thing I should mention though, is these bras come in sizes S-XL, rather than band/cup sizes, so the sizing is a little less precise. I’m on the busty side, so I went for the XL. I could have stood to have a smaller band and slightly larger cup, but it may be a great fit for others.

I love the idea of the Arden bra. I think it is a unique product that can definitely be useful for many moms. I just wish they used the band/cup sizing for a better fit. The band actually does adjust a couple of inches. The XL was just a little loose in the band for me, even on the tightest setting. I could not have gone down a cup size, though. No way.

The Dairy Fairy also offers “the Josie” a nursing sleep bra, and “the Rose” hands-free pumping bra, as well as a couple of other items.
