Bestowed February Box

This is not the first time I’ve mentioned Bestowed. I enjoy getting a box of healthy snacks I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I have generally been pleased enough with what I’ve gotten in the boxes and the February box was no exception.

Here are the things I received in my Bestowed box, and what we thought of them:

Honey Stinger Organic Sour Kids Chews–These little gummies are made from organic tapioca syrup and honey. I tried one and let the kids have the rest. They enjoyed them, though it wasn’t my favorite. I did use the included coupon, however, to purchase some kid-sized Honey Stinger waffles. We all enjoyed those!

Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookies, Dark Chocolate Flax–This breakfast cookie if full of antioxidants and omega-3’s. It was like a oatmeal cookie, but more flaxy. When I took the first bite it was like “meh.” But as I continued eating, it kind of grew on me. I really liked it by the time it was done.

Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars–These whole grain bars come in 2 flavors (blueberry and raspberry). DH liked the sample we got in the Bestowed box so much that when we saw these for sale at Sam’s Club, he had to get a box.

I Heart Keenwah Quinoa Clusters–These were kind of like mini rice cakes. Not my favorite item in the box. But they might be a nice treat for quinoa lovers.

Plum Organics Plum Vida–This squeeze pouch of spinach, apple and kale makes a portable snack. It’s also a great way to sneak veggies to the kids!

Simply Organic Steam Gourmet Seasoning and Parchment Kits–These clever little kits come with seasonings and a parchment bag. Just rub the seasoning on chicken breast, place them in the parchment bag and bake. I think this is a clever and convenient idea, but the chicken wasn’t very flavorful, thought it was done and moist. I would try marinating the chicken next time.

The two items I haven’t tried from the box yet are the Numi Tea Chocolate Tea and Hammer Nutrition HEED electrolyte drink.

Even if I didn’t love every product in the box, I love that I got to try them all. Now I know which ones I don’t love and which ones I want to (and have) buy more of.

  1. The box looks like it has a lot of really interesting snacks. So cool!

  2. I had never heard of them before. This sounds awesome. I’m gluten sensitive so I think this will be great for me.

I have been mostly happy with the boxes. I’m thinking the winner will get the March box. So it will be different stuff, but I’m sure it will be great too!
