It’s August and many parents have kids who are back in school, or going back very soon. So chances are they are going to need some notebooks or other paper supplies. From preschool to college, your student will need paper supplies! And if you’re eco-conscious, you may be interested in eco friendly paper products, such as those offered by Roaring Springs.      Roaring Springs Paper Products offers a variety of fun, sustainable notebooks. Founded in 1887, Roaring Springs is now one of the largest independently owned producers of school and office supplies.

They sent me nice sampling of their products, although these products are just the tip of the iceberg! It was a great set however! I got one each of their Genesis 1, 3, and 5 subject notebooks, 4 color me notebooks and 3 Crossover notebooks.
The Color Me notebooks are especially fun for kids, since the cover is like a color sheet, so they can color it however they want!

The Crossover notebooks are also really neat. If you open the book one direction, the lines go from the spiral binder to the edge, left to right. If you open the notebook at the other cover, the lines go from edge to edge with the spiral across the top. And if you want, the pages can double as graph paper! It is difficult to see in a picture, but if you look carefully, you may be able to see the cross lines, though they are more faded than the main lines.

Roaring Springs has been working to provide more sustainable products for their consumers. This includes paper from recycled materials, sugarcane fiber paper and poo paper. yep, you read that right! Poo paper. I did a double take too. Poo paper uses the fiber that is recovered from actual animal poo. I don’t believe any of the products I received were made from this, but the website insists poo paper is odorless and clean, and comes from elephants, cows, horses and donkey. Now that’s recycled material!
