Go Natural with Seventh Generation!

A more natural approach to the way we take care of our homes and bodies is becoming more popular as concern grows about the chemicals present in the products we use constantly. One of the most well-known companies producing “green” household and personal care products is Seventh Generation.

Seventh Generation sent me a collection of samples of their products, including dish soap, body wash and baby care products. Seventh Generation’s line of baby personal care products were the first to carry the USDA Certified Biobased product label.
Seventh Generation diapers are pretty plain. They don’t have the colorful pictures that standard diapers do–or the extra not so nice things. Unlike their mainstream counterparts, they contain no fragrances, latex, petroleum-based lotions or chlorine processing.

The Free and Clear wipes are hypoallergenic and free of alcohol, dyes, synthetic fragrances, parabens and phthalates. They really have no scent at all, except “clean.” They are also made with plant-derived ingredients. They are nice, thick wipes too, not the kind that tear and/or dry out too easily.
The natural dish liquid contains essential oils and botanical extracts and is free of dyes and synthetic fragrances. The laundry detergent is made without additives like optical brighteners, dyes or synthetic fragrances.  Is contains plant-derived cleaning agents. Perfect for washing cloth diapers!
Seventh Generation was established in 1988 and based in Burlington, Vermont. They strive for products that are good for consumers, the community and the environment. Their products are available at many retailers nationwide, as well as on Amazon and Diapers.com
