I recently got to try out a new kind of non-stick pan via Tomoson. It is called Green Earth Pan, a green frying pan put out by Ozeri.
The Green Earth Pan is made with GREBLON, a natural ceramic coating from Germany, and therefore does not have the harmful chemicals (like PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) that leech into your food during cooking. The Green Earth Pan’s natural ceramic coating is also more durable and scratch-resistant than other non-stick surfaces.
The Green Earth pan has a textured surface with a honeycomb-like design. The idea is that the textured cooking surface creates air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking performance.
I found this pan to work okay with a little oil. I’m not sure it would work for something like pancakes with the design. Also, the texture made it harder to wash, I felt. Even after soaking, tiny bits of food wanted to stick in the “holes.”
I think it’s great that this pan is made without the harmful chemicals and it is overall a decent pan. If you are interested in purchasing an Green Earth Pan, you can purchase on Amazon.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
