Spending time with your kids is awesome, and it’s also important! But finding ways to do so can be challenging for busy parents. Crafts and activities can be a great way to do this, but it can be time consuming to come up with ideas and assemble the supplies necessary for them. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have a kit of ready-to-go activities for kids?
Happy Trunk sends you a box of ready-to-make children’s crafts so all you have to do is assemble it with your little one! Our Happy Trunk included a few Pinterest-worthy activities and my little ones enjoyed them all (with help and supervision of course!)
We did “slime monsters.” Who knew that borax, glue and water made the “slime” some of remember playing with as kids?
And a “lava lamp” made with with water, oil, sequins and “fizz powder. This didn’t really work like a real lava lamp for us, but it was still pretty and my kids enjoyed shaking it up and watching the colors.
One of those things I always notice on Pinterest or some other blog and “planned” to get, but never did, was one of these “magnet wands.” The Happy Trunk included a magnet wand, some pipe cleaner pieces and small, magnetic disks. My daughter was thrilled to test out what would and would not “stick.”
We even made our own “project” where we put tiny pieces of pipe cleaners, paper clips and other small magnetic objects into a dry, empty bottle along with shredded tissue paper. It was fun running the “wand” outside the bottle and dragging magnetic objects around!
The Happy Trunk activities kits are available for ages 3-7 and ages 7-11. It is a great way to have fun with your child and can also act a science class for little ones!
The creativity kits (which are the monthly subscription kits) include 2-3 hands on projects. But Happy Trunk also offers party packs, party favors and science kits! You can also check out the Happy Trunk blog for even more great ideas! Use the code FALL20 for 20% off your first box!
