Save Baby Clothes from Blowouts with the Blowout Blocker

Picture this scenario: You get your 6 month old all dressed to go out. S/he’s dressed in this adorable onesie and pants, socks, the whole works. You go out and about, having a grand old time with your baby, and suddenly, you smell a dirty diaper.

If you’re lucky, you find a changing table. And when you open up that onesie, you realize–this wasn’t just any dirty diaper. This was a dirty diaper that somehow managed to leak up the back, leaving not only a terrible mess to clean up with your travel-sized wipes, but ruining that adorable outfit!

Yeah, that’s happened to me. Moms, you know what I’m talking about. Moms-to-be, you’ll find out! At a time like that, it would have been really great to have something like the Blowout Blocker by Melzy Baby.

IMG_4692The Blowout Blocker was invented for situations just like the one I described. The Blowout Blocker is a reusable, adjustable “extension” of your baby’s diaper, designed to capture blowouts and save your baby’s clothes!

You put the Blowout Blocker around your baby’s waist, with the big padding covering the back. I recommend using the extra tab to stick to baby’s disposable diaper so it doesn’t ride up! Put your baby’s clothes on over the blocker and it will protect if your baby has a blowout. This is especially great for babies sitting in a carseat/carrier.

IMG_4693Melzy baby also makes a similar product called a Soaker Stopper. These go in the front, rather than the back and the padding is wider and not as tall. These are especially helpful if you have an older baby who rolls on his tummy, when sleeping for example.

In those cases, sometimes the “wet” leaks out of the waist. The Soaker Stopper can help protect clothes and sheets!

Be sure to visit the Melzy Baby website for more info on Blowout Blockers, Soaker Stoppers and wet bags! You can also visit them on facebook, twitter and YouTube.
