I was given a one month trial for an honest review. Opinions are my own.
As I’m entering the world of homeschooling my oldest, I am always looking for great educational resources that help me to streamline the process. I found a good source that covers reading, math and handwriting for the Kindergarten level, but anything beyond that is not included.
When I heard about Science 4 Us, I was intrigued. Science4Us is an engaging, elementary science curriculum that teaches science using a fun, interactive approach. And since they have a homeschool review program, I was eager to try it out.
Once your child logs in, there is an intro video they can watch to get familiar with how things work. There are four “books” of science, and each of those have more categories and sub-categories. The four main books are Physical Science, Inquiry, Life Science and Earth/Space Science.
So if you click on Earth/Space, for example, and then click “Earth” there are these subcategories. Pick one and you get to watch a little presentation and answer questions.
The presentation is made to be fun and engaging for children. There are a series of short activities to do.
Science 4 Us is a fun and useful program, but I wish the price was per family, rather than per student. It is not a full curriculum, and I couldn’t afford to pay for multiple subjects for multiple children.
This is probably a great option for some families. In fact, I know there are many families who use this as part of their curriculum. And I’m not ruling it out yet, since my daughter did like it. I just need to consider my options first.
