If you like the fun, exotic flavors of Indian food, but aren’t ready to make it yourself, Tandoor Chef frozen foods may be worth a shot. It also serves as a nice intro to the cuisine.
I was sent 2 coupons for Tandoor Chef, and there were several to choose from, so I selected Tandoori Na’an and Vegtable Pad Thai.
Now, I am not an expert on Indian food, so if you’re used to the “real” stuff, I certainly m not going to tell you this is like what you’d get at a restaurant or make at home. It is frozen food, after all. It is made for convenience.
I tried the vegetable pad thai first. It was pretty good. Not super spicy as I’ve heard a lot of Indian food is. I actually thought it tasted kind of like lo mein noodles. I liked it, though I didn’t really care for the tofu chunks. There weren’t that many though.
The na’an breads were really good. We made ours into personal pizzas and they were really good! By the way Tandoor Chef has some really great looking pizzas available! I would have chosen a pizza, but my particular store didn’t carry them. But I still managed to get a pretty awesome pizza!
