Thrift Thursday: Reuse These Baby Items

Well, here are a couple of baby items you can revive or reuse, after you might have thought they were no longer useable.
     1. Baby swim diapers–Did you know you could wash and reuse those disposable swim diapers? As long they are unsoiled, they can actually be put in the wash. Do not put them in the dryer. Let them air dry and you’re good to go for next time! I’m sure there is a limit to how long they’ll hold up, but I don’t know it yet.
     2. Disposable Diaper Liners–If you cloth diaper, you might use disposable liners. Many times, the liners will hold up in the wash for a few washes. Same as with the swim diapers, this only goes for “wet” diapers, not soiled ones.
     3. Dried Out Baby Wipes–So…somebody (hubby perhaps…) left the container of wipes open all night and now they’re all dried out. Throw them out? Or you could “revive” them. Make a solution of 1/2 cup baby oil, 1/2 cup baby wash and 2 cups water and add about 1/3 cup to a full container. Let the wipes soak it up, flip them over and repeat. Use more or less depending on the size of the stack. Now you can use them! Go here for more baby wipe recipes!
     4. “Disposable” Storage Bottles–I see no reason the plastic milk storage bottles you can buy or get from the hospital can’t be washed an reused. This could technically go for disposable formula bottles too, in a pinch!
Do you know of any baby items you can reuse?
