Quality time is such an important thing for children. When you set aside time that’s just for them, it shows them how important they are to you. Now some of us may need a little help coming up with ideas and activities. That’s why I was really excited to hear about the Kids Night In Box. They send out a themed box every month containing a book, activities, snacks, and recipes to prepare together, and a playlist for your night in!
The theme for January was Stand Tall, to encourage the kids to set goals and learn new things.
Things included in the box: Book “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, materials for a scratch art animal mask and handprint giraffe, goal chart with star stickers, animal crackers and kid-friendly recipes and bonus activity ideas.
My girls enjoyed the activities in the box. My 9 year old and 4 year old both wanted to paint, though they didn’t exactly do the handprint giraffe like they were “supposed” to. There was only one animal mask (the kit is technically for one child) so my oldest did that. The book, music playlist and bonus activities can all be enjoyed by multiple children. You can also make the included recipes for as many people as you need!
And it’s not only kids who need quality time! You can also get a Date Night In box, with ideas and recipes to help you bond with your significant other.
